Youth shoulder pads praised for comfort, mobility, and impact protection. Customers said they're "very lightweight" with "superior mobility" and reduced impact sensation. However, durability concerns emerged with multiple reports of rivet failures within 6 weeks. Some found cushioning too thin and sizing inconsistent, with back plates hanging low.
I bought 2 of these shoulder pads and one already broke. Zero durability!
I pre-ordered these shoulder pads for my son to use this season. He has used them for less than 6 weeks and they have already failed. The top shoulder plate is dangling from one rivet because the second rivet detached from the fabric strap that holds it in place. Although I paid the fee for shipping protection and free returns, to submit a warranty claim, Vicis wants me to pay to ship the shoulder pads back to them so they can repair the shoulder pads, then they'll ship them back to me. I am not sure how my son is supposed to play football this season while they "repair" the defective shoulder pads. It would make much more sense to send a replacement ASAP and then if they want the defective shoulder pads back, arrange for return shipping.
The Pads already broke on the right side. I’ve been trying to get a hold of someone to get them replaced and no has responded

Ordered a youth medium to test it .
Both above avg height. The back plate hangs to their butt . Straps aren’t near tight enough . And both kids have solid builds
My son loves his new pads. He says they’re very comfortable and he loves how he doesn’t feel the impact as much as he did with his old ones.
This is my son’s first year in tackle football C Team “3rd grade.†Wanted a pad with more mobility and comfort than the Riddell pads provided by the league. This pad definitely has more range of motion and less weight. Only down side IMHO is cushion under pads are on the thin side and feel too soft. Pads run a tad on the bigger side, but at this age there is a lot of variables that come into play on fitment. So far so good, will do a follow up report as season progresses. Extremely fast shipping !
My 10 year old son had multiple pairs of school issued pads that didn’t fit well and pinched his neck and shoulders. The fit of these pads are excellent and allow superior mobility.

Thx so much for the fast shipping times as well as post sale communication and support.. kid loves these pads he says they feel very light and they fit without the bouncing or riding up into his throat he's tiny and all it took to adjust was finding the right strap loop to b snug but breathable... he said he can hit harder and he can't feel it like at all now so i can only imagine hs when he's grown and i spring for your top end skill player pads but i can tell by the quality and my kids feedback that it's money well spent as player safety and quality of materials and durability are evident from the moment he unboxed these... thx again for all your assistance Def think he will request your pads in 2 or 3 years when we get his adult sized hs set... and they look drippy... his words obviously lol

We had such a hard time finding pads for my 13 year old son. Too big for a child’s size and too small for an adult size. These pads fit into the hard to find “junior†category. They fit perfect AND have a backplate with them was an extra bonus! Highly satisfied
